A deeply intuitive, commercially viable understanding of public mores and tastes brings success to any design project that Susan Huckvale Arann undertakes. Arann has been the design talent behind successful restaurants, apartments and homes in the New York Metropolitan area for more than 30 years.

A native New Yorker, Arann is a graduate of CUNY and attended Parsons and New York School of Design. She is president of American & International Designs, Inc. a full service interior design firm headquartered in New York. She is past-president of the American Society of Interior Designers New York Metropolitan Chapter and holds professional licenses in New York and Florida and has won numerous awards for excellence in interior design. Her firm specializes in luxury residences and commercial projects including waterfront properties, vacation homes, restaurants, spas, healing environments and model homes. Commercial projects include Ritz Carlton and Hilton properties, corporate offices, retail lobbies and hospitality spaces. A majority of Ms. Arann's clients are international and retain her firm to complete their New York City spaces. Ms. Arann's passion is design in all forms.

Ms. Arann's international clientele speaks to her global design perspective as well as her highly regarded reputation for regularly communicating project status.

Ms. Arann is also widely acclaimed for her expertise in color trends and has given numerous well-received lectures on the subject. Ms. Arann is a member of the Color Marketing Group. In addition, she was nominated for Working Woman Entrepreneurial Excellence.

Considering her flair for color and design, it comes as no surprise to learn that she operated a highly successful fashion boutique prior to entering the field of interior design. Prominent in New York State politics prior to launching her career as a designer, Ms. Arann has a flair for people and once ran as a candidate for the New York State Assembly.
